Tel Aviv clubs: entry age, ID, dress code and the door

The legal drinking age in Israel is 18, but each Tel Aviv party sets its own minimum age, usually 18, 21 or older, and it is listed on the party’s page. Bring an original ID or passport. Dress is mostly casual and neat; bigger clubs can be selective at the door on busy nights. Updated 2026-10-26.

The age

Israel’s legal drinking age is 18. On top of that, each party or club sets its own minimum age: many are 18+, many are 21+, and some ask for 23, 24 or 25. On HappyTLV every party shows its age, and there are lists of 21+ parties and 25+ parties.

ID

The door checks ID. Bring the original: an Israeli ID card, a driver’s license or, for visitors, a passport. A photo on your phone usually is not accepted. If the ticket is in a name, it should match the ID.

What to wear

Most Tel Aviv nights are casual and trendy: jeans and a nice top are fine almost everywhere. Upscale clubs and some events expect a neater look; flip-flops and beachwear are a risk at the door. Techno nights are more relaxed and dark. If a party has a dress code, it says so on its page.

The door

Some clubs have a selective door on busy nights, which means the staff decide who goes in. A ticket bought in advance helps, as do arriving on time, a valid ID and not coming in a very large group. Security also checks bags at the entrance.

💡 Arriving before midnight means a shorter line. Clubs fill up after midnight and peak between 1 and 3 in the morning.
